1. Overview & Core Philosophy
LeadForge ("we", "our", or "us") provides a desktop lead generation and local search extraction application. We believe your data belongs to you. Unlike cloud-based data brokers, LeadForge operates as a local-first desktop tool. Scraped business records, search queries, and exports remain stored locally on your device in your private SQLite database unless you explicitly configure optional server synchronization.
2. Information We Collect
- Account & Licensing Information: When purchasing a license through our payment provider (LemonSqueezy), we receive your billing email address, order identifier, and license key generation status to activate the desktop software.
- Application Diagnostics (Optional): Minimal anonymous error telemetry (such as crash reports or application update checks) sent to check for new versions. No extracted leads or search queries are included in update checks.
- Optional Cloud Synchronization: If you intentionally enable central server synchronization in Settings, your local records are transmitted over an encrypted TLS connection to your designated server endpoint.
3. Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not sell, rent, broker, or monetize your scraped contact lists or database contents. We do not have access to your local SQLite database stored at %APPDATA%\dev.leadforge.app\gmaps.db. Your extracted data is strictly yours.
4. Payment Processing
All payments and license transactions are processed securely through LemonSqueezy, acting as our Merchant of Record. We do not store, process, or have access to your credit card numbers or banking credentials. Please consult LemonSqueezy's Privacy Policy for details on their payment handling.
5. Your Data Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to request access to the account information we hold (billing email and license key), request deletion of your license account, or revoke consent. Because scraped business data is saved locally on your computer, you can delete your data at any time by simply deleting your local database or using the in-app "Purge Database" button.
